Social media is on its boom these days and the growing businesses are buttressing themselves by strengthening their social presence. It is a step ahead of setting up a website. It makes them look better and reach new customers.

3 Steps to Make the Most of Twitter

For the individuals looking to Twitter to expand and market their business they usually focus on the tweets. It’s true, as content rules, but don't get stuck here. It isn’t the only thing you need to do or think about. Maximizing your Twitter profile and capitalizing on it is extremely important. Today I’m going to tell you the three basic things you must do to get the full advantage of Twitter.
1. Profile Picture
This is most important. You will see this again and again. What really irritates is that it's still worth mentioning. The first thing that you should do is add your profile picture. You will be completely honest with yourself, if you abide by my instruction and if your photo looks anything like that image on the left, you will be overlooked. So, that’s worth doing otherwise I'll mark it as spam.
2. Bio
The next step is to add your bio. Twitter allows you 160 characters to tell about yourself, so use them. Your quick intro should talk a bit about your business and yourself. Social Media is personal, so keep your Twitter feed and your bio light and interesting, yet professional. This is the best place to link to your newsletter or an upcoming webinar. Utilize the links under your bio or add web addresses to your bio if you want more than one site. You can also make it easy by having a clickable link under your bio. It will extend a nice support to your main URL.
3. Branding
Twitter is a fantastic tool for branding your business because you can make your Twitter page an extension of your brand. Don’t think that just because Twitter isn't your business' central website it means that you leave your branding aside. Just think of it as a billboard. Make the use of background as a large representation of your business. You can express an idea on the left of what your background looks like. The colors, fonts, and photos should be a match to your website.
Bear in mind that the social part is critical. The power of the reply is incredible, both for positive comments about you or your business as well as for those who may have had a negative experience. Make sure all of your clients are given proper attention and heard by you. Potential clients will see that with a positive bearing.
